To deepen industry-education integration and bridge the gap between theory and practice, 60 students from Tongji University’s School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering visited NEVEM’s smart factory from July 14 to July 25. They immersed themselves in the latest advancements in smart manufacturing and gained hands-on experience to enhance their academic research and career development.

On the first day, Peng Yu , NEVEM’s Mechanical Director, and Tian Wang, Marketing Director, introduced the company’s background, including its development history, business scope, cutting-edge technologies, and global presence. This session highlighted NEVEM’s leadership in flat-wire motor stator manufacturing and ignited the students’ enthusiasm for learning advanced smart manufacturing technologies.

At the end of the program, the students submitted final reports on their research topics, many of which included novel design optimizations. As the saying goes, “Knowledge gained from books is superficial; true understanding comes from practice.” This industry-academia collaboration not only allowed the students to witness the pulse of “Made in China with Intelligence” but also proved that the best classroom lies at the forefront of industry.

NEVEM highly values partnerships with universities to cultivate practical talent. This program with Tongji University provided students with direct exposure to real-world industry scenarios, current technological trends, and problem-solving skills. Moving forward, NEVEM will continue to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, working with universities to nurture future talent, tackle technical challenges, and contribute to the advancement of the flat-wire motor industry.
